Who is Payton, and why are we here?
The Payton Project was founded in 2024 by Krysten Brown. Krysten’s goal for this foundation was to provide help for all children in need, regardless of their family circumstances.
Krysten’s passion for this project is stemmed from her son Payton. The first six years of Payton’s life were anything but ideal. Payton came to Krysten and her family in December of 2019, where he stayed in the foster care system for the next 1,226 days. On April 25, 2023 after a very long, and difficult journey Payton’s uncertainty came to an end, and he was finally adopted.
After seeing first hand all of the struggles and difficulties Payton experienced, Krysten decided she needed to make a difference. Not just for Payton, but for all children who experience difficult times, regardless of the situation. Krysten believes all children deserve a Christmas, new backpack, new school supplies, a chance to participate in youth sports, and much more. Her vision is to provide all children with the feeling of love and support regardless of their circumstances..
